I have been using Miracle Gro 15-30-15, 20-20-20 and fish imulsion. Do you just apply once a week or should you apply more often.

Once you have the pumpkins set that you want to keep, I go once per week. Slow and steady.

I'm nuts so I go daily at one seventh the rate of lowest suggested range. Watch the leaves and adjust if color starts to change on me. Room for error without such terrible consequences is my goal.
