I set my misters system on two plants. My hose flows at 5 to 6 gpm. I have 7 misters on one plant and only two of the misters worked properly, the others either barely misting or not water at all. My guess it is my actual water pressure. Someone suggested a 'booster' pump. I purchased an 1/2 HP in line pump and was was wondering about using that. The instructions says it can put out to 50 psi which I think will blow out my tubing.

I was then thinking that perhaps I could put a valve on the intake to reduce the inflow or on the outtake valve before the 1/4 inch tubing to reduce the water coming out and therefore hopefully reducing the pressure. Will that work????

Yorunk-do you use a pressure regulator?We use a 2.5HP gas water pump since we pump from a 330 gal water tote and have no electricity there.We use 3/4 inch tubing and then use 1/4 inch from the larger tubing to the misters.

Which two misters worked correctly? How many feet of water hose and tubing in front of the misters?

We did a loop around the each plant. THe first loop around one plant is approx. 70 feet with 4.5' risers. I really think I a going to try the pump with a sillcock on the inlet side to regulate the flow.

I see the problem, those 4.5' risers!

Yorunk, I've used 4' risers in my patch as well with 2.6 gpm 570 Toro water heads and also only have enough water pressure to run 2 at the same time. I've run them in series with a splitter valve and it will run 2 fine and will run 3 at 1/2 power.

I was advised an inline pump (like the ones for motor homes and/or boats) but I'm finding that I get good coverage on each plant with just 2 heads.

This is the ultimate watering/misting system;
