if so...by what method do you apply water soluble fertilizer?? i'm trying to figure out how to put a inline "mixer" on my sprinklers..that way i can put in say 2 pounds of fertilizer fire up the motor and feed my plants..thanks,keith

I use a high pressure pump to irrigate my pumpkins,and feed them. Simply cut a "T" into the suction side of your pump. Then use bushings to get it down to 1/2 or 3/4 size. Add a valve, and a short piece of hose, which goes into a 5 gallon bucket of fert "mix". With your pump running, open valve and fert will suck into your overhead sprinklers. Turn valve off before pump starts to suck air (bad for pump). I also run the pump for about an hour afterward to make sure all fert residue is washed through. Email me if you have more questions.

Dripworks carries a few different types of inline fertilizer systems. I'm sure you could do a search on fertilizer injectors or dripline/sprinkler injectors and find many more types....Tom

I pump water into a 300 gallon tank and mix the fertiler as I am doing so.
let it sit for a day to warm up (as I pump from a spring creek) Then pump from tank to plants.

i thought about sucking it out of a bucket first thing but it seems to me like me last sprinkler from the pump starts spraying first..which means to me that all the fert. would be in the last pipe and the first one wouldnt get any??? i have about 4 sprinklers in a straight line..

My pump's suction line is 2", and it feeds into a 3" line for more volume. It seems to evenly feed all my sprinklers.

blkcloud, sounds to me like your last sprinkler is lower than the rest by just a touch--maybe raise it up, or just the hose, by a couple of inches...maybe....
