Can granlar fert be disolved in water to be used in dripline like a granular 10-10-10 or 12-12-12 instead of using a water soluble 20-20-20 or 15-30-15? Would the granular be too toxic? This would not be for overhead or folier feeding. I figure to use 80-90% fert as a broadcast and tilled in and the rest ran through the dripline. Will be using a 200 mesh filter....Tom

Tom, 10-10-10 would contain a great deal of filler. The filler is usually "fertilizer grade limestone". Just chips of limestone that are sized the same as the raw materials we use to blend the finished fert. The soluble parts of the 10-10-10 would disolve. The rest wouldn't. A high analysis fertilizer with no filler & no slow release can be disolved in water but some elements may riquire some patience & perhaps even some heat. The same granular elements are finely milled to create sprayable solubles that are designed to mix with water.

I had found a company that gave great prices on 25lb and 50lb of water soluble fertilizer. But adding the shipping made it more expensive than the local Stores.
