Hello Tremor I was reading through this original post:

http://www.bigpumpkins.com/msgboard/ViewThread.asp?b=10&p=331505

and you had commented about getting some information on the C02 Foliar from some colleagues of yours. Did you have hear back?

Thanks,

Erik

Erik, Im sure Steve has some great colleagues that knows their stuff.

Another person you might want to get a hold of Russ Landry (Big Kahuna here on bp.com
russlandry@rogers.com ). He has been doing alot of research on the CO2 and knows alot about it. I myself have been meaning to call him real soon to talk about it.

At least one is a PhD who's traveling for the holidays. Another is skeptical the calcium carbonate was milled fine to gain entry by the guard cells of the stomata. Mark Griggs knows more about chelating salts than any human on Earth. The trouble is getting him to talk. LOL.

Although I know that Steve's sources are the best of the best in their respective fields, Steve has been a vital part of how we approach Fertilizing, disease and Pest control, Always willing to help out and make recomendations that have saved more then one growers season, and by no means am I trying to discredit Steve or his sources. I have nothing but respect for Steve as a person and his knowledge. However, I think we have to look at how many top notch growers used CO2 with great success. I'm not talking about having the best growing conditions, in the peak of the season applying it and saying, "yes it works", we are talking about experienced growers who have been consistantly succesful, they know how to read the plants, growing in some of the worst growing conditions that we have seen in a few years and applying the CO2 and seeing amazing results. I would like to quote what Don Young recently said about CO2, with his permission: Towards the end of the season the weather turned colder then normal and his weight gains dropped dramaticly, Don decided that he was going to pull out all the stops to try to correct this, he applied the CO2 and his weight gains began to increase again to "normal" weight gains for that time of the season. Phil Hunt, John Vincent , Myself and others used it with sucess too. This is the kind of proof I want to see, real results, anyone can say a certian product should or shouldn't work. The results speak for the product.

Hey Guys,

Thanks a lot for your Responses and information!

I did a little research myself. This stuff must have a pretty darn high markup on it considering it says on the lithovit website that it is calcium carbonate from natural limestone deposits. (It did not mention of anything else being added) last time I check you could pick up a 50 pound bag of lime for like 5 bucks a 12 ounce bag of C02 foliar cost like 30 to 35 bucks. Either it costs a ton of money to mill down limestone to the nano size it needs to work or these guys are pulling in some serious cash.
