This is my first attempt at growing a giant pumpkin and I finially got Don Langevin's book. I am using just Neptunes Fish and Seaweed as my fertilizer, is this sufficient? The book mentions it as an extra and I should be using a balanced fertilizer also, can someone give me some advise? I have a pumpkin growing, pollinated on July 1 and its 25" in circumfrence. Thanks

Barb, Neptunes is just want you need. Organics are the preferance to sinthetic ferts. Get you some kelp as well. Now once you fruit is set then get you some fruit finisher as well.

Both books have the same feeding schedule. I did get some fruit finisher because I believe the one I set is doing just fine. Altho is is only 29" circum today at day 13.
