Can anyone tell me the way a plant takes in nutrients through its leaves? I thought nutrients came from the roots to the leaves and thats where photosythesis does its magic.

I think like 85 to 90% of nutrients and water are taken in throught the roots and the rest through the leaves, thats just an educated guess though. ~Bill

i'm not sure exactly how it works but foliar feeding works try using seaweed extract and fish emulsion(try to find the deoderized products if you can)your plants will love you for it the seaweed(kelp) is suposed to help build a plants imune system
