On one of my patches I would like to use soaker hoses and have the water gravity fed from a 50-75 gallon barrel @ 6 feet above the ground. The platform is already there, a pool deck that is immediately beside the east end of the patch. Would there be sufficient pressure for 100 feet of soaker hose. Thanks.

im no expert, but i think most of the water will soak in the first few feet of hose

I think it would work if you had four 25 ft hoses in parallel coming off a single manifold. I had something similar to that in 2000 and it worked fine. You do get less flow the farther out along the hose you go.

use a large diameter hose like a 5/8". The extra volume will give you more pressure.
