I am looking for a nice place to purchase one of those sprinklers that are on a tripod and do the best job at watering a 1000 sq ft area. Who has a sprinkler hookup they would reccommend and where did you get it?

I have found that the bigger the sprinkler the more uneven the coverage. A sprinkler that covers that much ground will likely leave some spots soaking and others dry. Not too big of an issue on the grass just leave the sprinklers on longer to get the dry spots covered. It's hard to do that with the pumpkins.

The wizz heads work great, I bought some last year, they give a soft spray of water, plus cover every part of the area that I want watered.

THx for the tips so far, I am looking for one of those types that are tripod like in nature. The whizz heads intrigue me and have been looking at one website that has something like I am after. If you have a different configuration you reccommend other than this website, any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is the website..

I purchased 2 at Lowes. I separate the head from the base. I got a 4 foot piece pvc pipe and glued adapters on the end. I stuck the spike part in the ground duct taped to 2 stakes. I also used to rv hose, 1 to the first sprinkler then attach a second hose to the second sprinkler.
