How often should I be applying the kelp? Once every 5-7 days? Do I alternate between kelp one week then granular fertilizer the next? Do I mix the two together for one application per week? As you can see I need some (A LOT) of help.

Mark, I would think that you will get a host of opinions on this one but I generally apply kelp in a foliar spray at half the recommended ammount, once per week.

Keeps the patch smelling like the ocean and the leaves nice and green.

go kelp one week then fish the next, then molasses, the more varied the better, there are micro nutrients in all the different stuff, so mix it up.

Do you use all of these feedings as foliar sprays, or do you actually feed ar ground level with any of them?

This will be my first year *attempting* large pumpkins, but I keep an organic veggie garden & do feed with fish emulsion.

Thanks! Kim

Molasses at 1 oz per gallon around the stump, once per week, never on the leaves. I Apply at dusk.

Fish Emulsion, 1 OZ per gallon around the stump once per week. .5 oz per gallon sprayed on the leaves at dusk or early in the AM, never spray anything in the heat of the day.

Seaweed - I now prefer using Neptunes only, good stuff, when young, .5 oz per gallon, sprayed on leaves, once per week, 1 oz per gallon around the stump, once per week. There 3 of 7 days are now taken care off.....Want to know what to do the other days.....visit:

Tell Craig, TheWiz sent you, Craig is a great guy he will help you out too.

You may also find that using Kelp meal and alfalfa meal in the dirt prior to planting helps also....search this site for those keywords....Good Luck
