Watch out for those NY cats. They know how to scratch and cover but I'm not sure they can grow pumpkins. :)

I like growing pumpkins, but I wouldn't trade my kid for seeds.

PG,
Can you make it to the Niagara seminar? March 9, 10 & 11 at rthe Fallsview.
Regardless, get the book "How to Grow Giant Pumpkins #2" by Don Langevin for starters. This is a 3 book series but #2 is the best starter.
In a minute I'll link the NY Growers Club if no one beats me to it.

Hi there pumpkingal, Great trade! Just like us New Yorkers to use the barter system to get the kids out of the house. I have 5 kids & 10 grand kids, who did you make your deal with?? I am starting GIANT PUMPKIN growing this spring. GIANT to me would be a 100 pounder. I have been known to kill the plastic plants my wife gets at Wally World. Seems like I over fertilize them. What part of NY ya frumm?? Lots of luck in your garden. PS Don's books are good I have both 1 & 2 and am looking for his 3rd one.
