Last year I used a high potash water soluble. This year Im interested in pushing the envelope a bit. What I dont know is how much Potash to put down and where along the plant? Also recommendations on when to start, I have pumpkins set on all my vines now( baseball size). My toatl sq ft area is 2300. Thanks David

Fellow growers correct me if I'm wrong,,,David,I apply around stump, and along the root trail..I put it all over,,it will burn leaves if it makes contact with them,,but has never burnt my plant because I sowed to much..I use a good bit thru out the year after pkins set....It breaks down easily and has made a difference this year for me..

Dave if ones soil is sandy 2.5-5lbs per plant is plenty sprinkle it over the whole plant then wash it off the leaves I use 00-00-60 granular. If your soil is clay i would think that half as much is plenty,The only risk of pushing is that they go pop it is a very fine line you must tow.But it is sure is fun when you go for a ride.(MAKE SURE THAT IF YOU ARE GOING TO PUSH THE POT ASH HAVE ONE OR 2 SHOCK ABSORBER FRUITS ON IF YOU ARE GROWIN IN A AREA UNDER 600SQ FOOT PLANT)BEST OF LUCK MARK
