Has anyone heard anything about it or tried it? What were the results? Any hazzards to watch out for? Please google 'superthrive plant food' and tell me what you think.

I used the stuff before, cant say anything bad about it. Mix with fertilizer it has 50 vitamins/minerals-Hormones. I dont think I ever used it as a foliar.

I was thinking of mixing it with the Neptunes fish/seaweed fertilizer and foliar feeding it.

I was going to do a post about Super Thrive and I never got around to it. One of the things that I was wondering about was if anyone knows what the hormoness. The same as in kelp, alfalfa. others? I purchased some SS, I am just wondering if I am duplicating my efforts. I have done Google searches and I can't find anything on the formulation. thanks KathyT

There has been anecdotal discussion on the boards here before about it possibly causing early maturation.

I just saw this product at Wally World. I put it back on the shelf and peeked around to see if anyone saw me interested in it. My assessment: If it has to be advertised in a carnival format it likely should be sold by a carnival huckster at the carnival. Bigger than life, better than best was the image. I pass.

WE used to sell it at the nusery, it was really popular. I have used it, my cabbages seem to like it. But I have not used it on pumpkins in 2006.

LOL. That label drives me crazy too. Regardless their quality of manufacture, Super-Thrive's crazy marketing does nothing to instill confidence.

What bugs me about their product is the lack of a guaranteed analysis on the label. I've sold & used many different plant hormones over the years. Screw up the rate even a little bit & you can have some very negative impacts.

OK, I've done a little more researching. Thier website www.superthrive.com lists thier phone number
1-800-441-8482 I called but it was after hours, I'll try again monday. On the label I found that it contains 0.09% vitamin B1 and 0.048% 1-Naphthyl acetic acid. Is this good? I'll let you know if I find out anything else on Monday.

Yes Lauralie it's good but so is apple vinegar an ounce of which will do about the same thing for five gallons of any kind of gardening tea. Take a couple of B1 tablets and make your own using a food processer for literally nothing. While you are doing that toss in a clove of garlic and two alo vera leaves. At that point you will be far and beyond the mentioned product. Still not sure toss in some willow leaves and tender twigs.....Presto you have more goodness to excite growth.

Lauralie.........then put two drops on the cat's tail. In no time you will have that spot growing at twice the rate of normal cat hair. That can be the basis for your new product advertising claims even better than the one you are looking at. Surely it would be a hit as all the bald males transfer your claim to exciting hair to grow on concrete.

In the fine print you will have to say works for me but may not work on all cats.
