I agree, Have two patches this year, the slave patch, a last minute thought, never had manure, rotilled leaves in a few times, hard, sandy, little organics ever put in the soil, to boot its shaded with trees partial that are over 50' high so it complete for water. The penthouse patch, 18 deep of composted, organic super soil, that pretty well matched the optimum chart on the soil test......USed Agro-K on both patches, getting dark green leaves and 12" of growth on all vines, pumpkin growth rate the same, so I give my Agro-K the credit on keeping the rates up in the slave patch.......I think its worth the time and the effort, it brought my plants back from the devestating hail, so I have no complaints......Im salivating over next year and I get a non hail year......I want the State record!
