We have an AG going in a separate patch that wasn't amended last fall. The plant started out fine at first, but has never grown well in the last month. It is a small plant with only 50 leaves and all the first leaves have turned brown and I've needed to clipped them. When we planted we amended the mound with potting soil, Dr. Earth, and Kelp. The soil is very sandy too. Is there anything we can do at this late date to keep the leaves from turning brown? The ground is damp so I think there is enough watered and I've been adding a gal. of fish emulsion for the last three weeks at the stump hoping that would help, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. The only thing I can think of doing is getting a soils test for next years pumpkin and giving up on this years. We have one pumpkin going on the main about the size of a baseball.

This doesn't sound like a fertility issue. Pictures?

The pictures were posted on Wednesday and will probably be up on Thursday. What is happening? Thanks for the help.

The pictures are up and it may be Gummy Stem Blight. If you've seen that before, could you please take a look and let us know what we should do. It's on our 689 Sandercock.
