Rookie here. So my plants are in the ground, all about 4-5 leaves old. What do I feed them now? I have given them liquid fish (which the dog goes crazy for) and water. What do they need from now until they get fruit?
Thanks

SYMBREW - Symbrew is an "in addition to" part of your program. It should be soil drenched around the stump of your plant at a rate of 2 -3 times a week. Mixing should be 2 quarts of Symbrew to 1 gallon of water. This is for one plant. For more detailed information on Symbrew, please follow this link: http://www.candjfert.com/pages/Symbrew.doc or contact Craig Lembke at 716-672-2367, email: craig@candjfert.com.

Intersting reading, thanks. I think I may opt for something in a bottle I can buy as my wife has limited tolerance for me "brewing" compost and manure in a 55 gallon drum in our back yard.

Last year I had good luck with Osmocote, 4 month easy to use dry granular fertiler that works great on lots of veggies too.

I would get some type of kelp/seaweed product to add to your fish, some type of calcium for foliar feeding as well. Craig at C&J can hook you up with just about whatever you want, if you want a whole program or just one or two items. I would keep away from any granular chemical ferts. Maybe you could get something on the natural side like kelp meal and greensand. They're not as potent as chemical ferts but won't mess up your soil in the long run or blow up your pumpkins this season.

Well, I found something that smells worse than the liquid fish. They call it "Fish and Poop." Bottle claims a 9-6-2 ratio. If we are going by bad smell, I am going to have the biggest pumpkins ever.
