Can you put to many rotten leaves on in 1 yr? I put about 6 inches, ground them up with a tractor tiller, but it was so wet they had to just lay there on top of the ground til this spring. No manure available so this is all for this yr. Have I messed up or not? Thanks

Worms & bacteria should have them decaying nicely be mid-spring when plant growth starts kicking in. If they were Maple, Ash, Birch or Poplar they should go real easy. What were they?

When tilling them in add six ounces, of black strap molasses, to help fire up your bacteria which will help break down your leaves more quickly.

Tremor, I'm not real sure what kind of leaves they were because they were so rotten(black). The problem was it rained before I could plow them in. The Ph had come down to around 6.9 to 7 end of last yr so I'm sure what it will be whenever it drys out so I can get another test done. Knee deep in leaves and mud all this winter.
