Is this a good idea to do? Thanks Tom(Bohica) for the email. It sounds right, that spraying sticky sugar stuff on leaves could be a bad thing to do..... Any comments and experience appreciated! Thanks Ben

Tom Lishness did it all season, nearly everyday at the end and he had 1 over 1100 and one over 1000..in his first year.
Leaves were as green as July at harvest...
Something to be said for that when all the surrounding fields around are filthy with mildew...

It's not all Luck...

Agree with the above but the amount to use is in some question. One ounce per gallon is the suggested rate with one gallon to just wet the leaves of aproximately one plant depending on size.

If other portions of your foliar include molasses perhaps even less may be worthy of consideration. Excess molasses may cause early leaf demise. There seems to be no concern about larger amounts used in the ground as bacteria booster.

On the leaf the primary purpose is carbs, to feed your living biology, on the leaf and plant parts above ground.

I have not determined how much is considered excess. Craig's AGRO -K suggestion is one ounce per gallon, of water using just enough, to wet the surfaces of the leaf..both sides.

Three generations that I know of, in my family have used molasses both foliar, ground fed and in the compost to either support or feed the biological players. Some very good trace elements are a goes with as is the carbon content, of molasses. I feel it is the best biological booster money can buy.

I recently spole with Craig, we spoke in depth about this and according to the results of others it was determined that the AGRO-K program is better absorbed without the molasses foliar.
Once again, we are talking about molasses sprayed foliar when using the AGRO-K program.
Do what ya may, this was a heads up for Ben.

I found some info a while back about using molasses. I agree with Doc a little is better than a lot. I have included the links below to prior discussion.

Duh..........??? There must be different instructions concerning molasses with Agro-K between Australia, New York and the rest, of the country. The newest guide sheets I have are still calling, for the use, of molasses used foliar.

Craig has no bulleton out on any alert or change in so far as I know. This sort, of a situation, is what makes it most difficult, to maintain reasonable common instruction, practices and support, for the feeding process.

I respectfully withdraw my above instructions. I will have no futher comments, in support, of any growing opinion including my own. Those who have developed a trust in what I have, to say may continue, to discuss opinions and common sense healthy patch development by E.
