I got a hold of about 5 tons of good composted rabbit manure yesterday. I've read different posts on the subject. Some say no good, others say good. I'm going to plow it under next week in my 3000 sq. ft. garden. I guess I'll know for sure how it is going to act in the months to come. Stop me now if I'm making a mistake.

Pappy,

It should be fine! From what I've heard, rabbit sh**(
is one manure that can be added fresh!

Rabbit manure will sometimes prevent problems wild rabbits. Sorta like a territorial thing. I use it on tree seedlings and have never had a problem with those wild things, except for the trees that did not get a dose of the manure...Tom

Thanks kilr and Tom. I'm resting easier now. I hope this crap works out! I read, that you said, kilr, rabbit poop can be used out of the container. (The cute bunny). I'm banking on it!

I use to raise and show rabbits. I had as many as 100 at one time. I use their droppings all of the time in my gardens. Also there was always lots of earth worms in it too. I never really had to add much of anything else to my garden. Wish i had it now... Greg

I also used to raise wabbits for show & meat. And I know what you had on your hands Greg we would have as many as 200+ right before it was time to butcher them. Would put all the manure straight on the garden & had the best garden ever.........

Pappy,,,

i have been using the rabbit in the mix in my garden for a while now,,,the rabbits digestive track does not take out all the micro-and-maco nutrients,,,leaving the waste by-product a very rich source of fert. That is why in the night time hours the rabbits will eat their own waste again to regain the nutrients that they missed,,,i have never burned my garden when using rabbit waste,,,
