Would like to hear some opinions of the use or nonuse of Biomin Calcium and "regular" calcium products.....

Should I be using either or?

Biomin Calcium utilizes an organic chelating agent along the same idea as our Green-Flo or Nutrical. Any of these chelated materials will do a good job.

Perhaps by "regular" you are refering to "liquid lime"? If it isn't chelated, we don't want it. Liquid Lime is used mostly be hyrdo-seeders who are trying to get grass seed to germinate faster. This sort of material does NOT foliar absorb so I doubt a developing pumpkin would benefit from it's use either.
