Miracle gro tomato food is higher phosphorus and potash. I used it with good reults last year. Schultz soluble tomato food is a little lower nitrogen and a little higher potash than Miracle gro. I plan to use some of that this year.

We use Molasses to increase the amount of Potassium with our Fish and Kelp Spray. It is also an excellent source of Iron and other micronutrients. Plus it increases Microbial Activity.

Go To site search type in the word "stump". Read the chat transcript with Joe Pukos 10-24-01. Joe said he uses 1 pint of Fish & 1 pint of kelp per plant per week. good reading. happy growing to all Ed

I use the AGRO-K program which is just a little more than a covers all treatment that considers needs which I may not have available, in my soil, in a usable form. At this point, in my third year I still believe it is a tool to support my efforts, while I attempt, to build a super, well ballanced soil. I have allmost never used synthetic growth chemicals.

I would wait till after day 20 before applying any fertilizer. stick with an 20-20-20 my father used 0-0-60 last year on his one ( later set fruit) plant and it cracked the pumpkin. on his largest grown which was on an Big max was 50.5 lbs and he used 7-7-7 all year round once a month application. BUT the one he stuck 0-0-60 to cracked within days of application and that was the ONLY fruit on his 950.4 Boyton that was growing well and would have weighted over 120 lbs at the time he exploded it LOL
