wear gloves if you are diluting down from 35% it will oxidize your skin right off. looks white and flakey (your skin that is) according to the chem gurus at work.

Among other benefits, hydrogen peroxide is a fungicide. ZeroTol, which was mentioned awhile back in a post is primarily made from hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide also increases the amount of oxygen in the soil and breaks down organic matter.

I did not know you could get that percent,,,where can you get it and how much? What is the highest percent that you can get? Does it kill good "stuff" in the soil?

Any Beauty Supply Chain will have 35-40% Hydrogen Peroxide. They often use Calcium Peroxide in contaminated soils to increase the uptake up of the plants before they are harvested.

PumpkinSupply.com will have some next week, both in 1 liter and 4 liter bottles. Haven't finalized shipping yet because h202 is considered a HAZMAT item by DOT. Should have more info by Monday.

for fire ants use safer brand fire ant killer...works great. made from D-limoline( same citrus solvents used in oranglow) smells good and is very effective. mix with water and drench the mound... they dont even make it out.

Molasses is also a darn good fire ant repellant. It doesn't kill them but it does keep them away. I've read of a few orchards using molasses as their main mode of fire ant control with good results.
