anyone that uses neem oil as a natural insecticide/fungicide as a spray on pumpkin leaves, can you please give me the recipe on how much you use? My sprayer holds 1/2 a gallon, so how much neem per half a gallon of water? I think soap is added as well. I tried using it in the past and burned my leaves even spraying in the evening, so maybe I used too much. Not sure. Thanks Jimmy

it says 1 oz per gallon, so one tablespoon in 1/2 oz, also add one tablespoon of baking soda

docgipe told me about this, he seems to be the "organic MAN"

Good luck

Sounds good to me. That is indeed what I used last summer almost, to the end, of the season when the last two treatments called, for a bit harsher treatment. A quick trip, to my garden center gave me two or three options. I bought a copper base fungicide. I believe it was the only one mentioning Downey, on the label.

Could you tell me more about this neem oil as an insecticide/fungicide? I would prefer this over using a chemical insecticide. I don't really like to use them.

Give "NEEM OIL", to your friend GOOGLE. There you will find much, to ponder over. In the simplest form it is derived from the Neem Tree. It is a natural insecticide, mild fungicide and miticide. It is organically approved besides the fact it does a pretty darn good job.

I have used it for years, on our house plants and in our many gardens. It was only natural that I should elect to use it on the big orange thingies.

A half ounce will keep the skeeters out, of your rain barrels and bird baths as well as any other non-petro oil if you hate kerosein ,to much, to use a few drops, of it.

Can you buy neem oil locally or must it be purchased on-line?
