I found some liquid potasium carbonate (0-0-30). This is potasium hydroxide reacted with CO2. I got this stuff for free and am thinking on using it diluted as a soil drench, late in the season. Possibly blending with 10-34-0. Anyone ever had any experiance with this product?

It's good stuff. Agro-K uses Potassium Carbonate in their foliar K fert.

Carbonates will raise Ph, just an FYI.

My soils are already high in PH, 7.9. Im hoping to lower it with organic material. Is the Agro K product just Potasium Carbonate or does it have something else in it? I guess I figured that a small amount used as a soil drench wouldn't have much effect on the PH.

HI-- Countykid the KDL is a potassium carbonate---but remenber potassium is a riper --we use kdl on things like a heavy crop of cherrys to helping the crop size up sweetn up and ripe other wize the over crop would never ripen--thats why in our giant pumkin program stay away from potassium till the end of it growth--then its put on to pack on the pounds also kdl is a foliar feed---you can more info on my website www.candjfert.com or www.agro-k.com--craig
