Has anyone tried the ez flow fertilizer injector? I wonder how it would work to distribute liquid fish/seaweed. The dosmatic is too expensive for my wallet.
Thanks, Jim

don't do it. I got two last year, and neither one worked well.

It will work fine if the fertilizers are designed for that kind of injector and mixed properly. That means the fertilizer must be screened or ground to fine enough particles, to pass through, in either case. This mandated proper handling by the operator too.

I used AGRO-K program products through the EZ with no difficulty. Joe Holland's dehydrated kelp worked when I did my job and followed his instructions. :) I had it attached to a misting system the first year and fed overhead through very small misting orfices. The second year it was fed to underground placed T-Tapes.

My EZ is on loan to a greenhouse operation for the third winter. It has worked fine, for them, on small research and development programs where larger systems are more difficult to handle. I have the smallest EZ sold for about fifty bucks three years ago.

If in any further doubt talk with the maker, to see, what you need, to do, to have a success. Basically what I think I have discovered correctly is that anything that will pass through a 200 mesh screen will work fine.

Another problem I ran into with one of the ez-flows was that birds would peck at the hoses, and once the vacuum was lost, no more suction.

I won this dosatron tonight on eBay for $18.50. I'd keep looking for something like it.

And nothing Doc said is untrue. He's a smart guy, but I'd rather the injector have a margin of error than having to rely on myself not to clog it.

I bought the one designed to be under constant pressure. I used it with water soluable fert that had seaweed in it and it worked good and never clogged. It has a screen on the intake tube that should keep it from plugging. In the manual it says to stay away from oily products. Maybe some fish products could cause problems. I'm happy for the price... Something like a dosatron would be nice if you find one cheap or have extra money but I didn't last year.

I fed my tomatoes, peppers, ect also with the EZ and T-tape. I bought the hose adapter so I could move it around. I think mine holds 5# of fert or one gallon.
good luck

I've used the same E-Z flow injector for four seasons. I have never had an ounce of problems with it. I take that back, my son hit it with the lawn mower and broke a couple of the connectors. I had no problem ordering new parts. It is simple to intall and maintain. I would give this a 5 star rating. I'm putting in a new patch this year and will be getting one that is under constant pressure.

The E-Z Flow Injector has one possible problem. I had squirrels nipping at the flow lines. A $50.00 unit can not be rocket science design. The problem was inorganic salts in the flexible feed lines. I went, to a fish tank store and replaced the lines with a different soft plastic line. I provided free salt for the squirrells and other critters by making a salt station.

My hunting camp trail watch camera indicated, by picture proof, that all the little critters, from mouse, to deer, used the salt station. I had water stations but none, on the ground. Urica!!! In went a bird bath set, in the ground, like a mini fish pond. The very smallest critters immediately used it including ground feeding birds.

My tubing and garden hose problems realted, to salts, all went poof and have not reappeared. There is a certain amount, of fun, catching a vole sneak a drink or the neighbors cat catching a vole or mouse now and again.

I'll have to try the salt! I've had squirrels chew on lots of my hoses this year. T-tape, garden hose, hydraulic hose, and other black plastic hose. I think part of the problem is all the cats are gone. Too many males fighting each other. I didn't mind the squirrels until they started tearing things up.....

Got my E-Z flow after Dwaine advised it last year. Was a good buy and worth the bucks. Works great!!
