I'm designing the sprinkler system for the new patch. I'm considering using the whizzer heads as the sole method of watering the patch. I'm a little concerned about the evenness and completeness of the coverage. The package on them doesn't say they are adjustable but Joel's flyer says they are. Does turning the faucet down give results or does it mess with the water distribuiton. I have not used these before and any insights would be great. How about the size of the dropplets produced? I'm looking to use it with my E-Z grow fertilizer injector for foliar fertilizing, and small fine spray is the best.

I used to use inline ball valves to controll the flow to each individual sprinkler head. The further away from the main supply the more open the valves used to be. The best way to do this is to do a test run and ballance all the sprinkler heads together but main supply pressure fluctuation can make it a bit hit and miss at trying to get even regulation thruout the whole area to be irrigated.
Just my Pennys worth.

Brian,

Don't know what kind of pressure you're working with, I use a high pressure pump that operates on 75 psi.I don't believe throttling down the sprinkler lines will make a whole lot of difference, since you will be feeding through them, I'd run them wide open. Otherwise you may have problems with fert build-up in the lines and whiz heads "getting stuck" in one postion. I do use valves, but only to "isolate" different areas I want/don't want watered. It is also wise to use a larger "trunk line" to build up a volume of water(I use 3" pvc). This seems to also equalize sprinklers. Spray from each whizzer will vary from droplets to fine spray, and you will want to overlap their coverage a bit for complete coverage. I don't believe my whizzers are adjustable. Hope this helps.
