I did the same thing and now apologize. But some were returned to me with just the number of stamps I included. A few had postage added but not sure why exactly. Hate for people to go out of their way and have to pay postage for seeds they are giving away.

Jay, exactly why I posted this. I will from now on...take them to shipping place & get correct postage on them. Will prbly have to put a bit extra on the return envelope, as I don't know how many seeds are going into that one!!! Lot's I hope! Peace, Wayne

No worries on mine Wayne, my post office is stupid and depending on who is working that day, some bubbles have gone for 95 cents, but normally the one girl charges $2.65. I have had the same exact conversation with her 15 times this year about a pumpkin seed in the envelope, and the second I say that, she ups the charge to parcel instead of regular letter "because of the sorting machine it goes through"... since she has SUCH a great memory, I might just stop telling her what is in it.

I push my envelopes through a slotted card, if it fits through its $2.65

With the new postage rates it is now $2.67. If you're direct mailing them (no clerk)two $1.00 stamps and a 70 cent butterfly (non machinable)will do the trick.

Mine have been $2.67 since January unless I get excited and really stuff a bubble and then it is more.
