Going Green

Shannon Engels informed me that the 2013 seed exchange will not be handled anymore by him. I sent him an email apologizing for bothering him and I said that I could understand how busy he must be with a large number of things in his life. I on the other hand have to get up garden and go to sleep. Now I may never be as good a grower as Shannon but I have owned my own company, know how to keep records and have all the time in the world to do a seed exchange for 2014. If you would be interested read on as I will post a few rules.

First off we will allow for 50 people. Each person in the exchange must send 50 pre-packed plastic (available at Walmart 100 small sealable envelopes for $1.29) envelopes labeled with size your name and type of seeds. You must also send $6.00 to cover postage, and envelope to mail the seeds to you. Upon receiving your seeds and $6.00 I will email you and this is your acknowledgement that you are in the seed exchange. No email, I never got your seeds. Europe and other countries take 21 to 30 days to reach America! The envelope that includes your 50 packages must have a letter inside with your name, address, city, state or country and your email address! Any Questions ask them here! I have the time and I love getting all the unique seeds from gardeners everywhere!

This fall when you have grown your new personal best and want to participate in a seed exchange amongst growers than I would be willing to organize it! That is what I am saying in this post. I love the variety of different seeds that come in from this exchange. Those who sent seeds in to Shannon in 2013 will be receiving a seed exchange from Shannon. I am asking you if you would like to continue the seed exchange in fall of 2014 and if so I would organize it. If you think you would be interested in a fall 2014 exchange than say so in this posting. Wishing all of you the very best growing season ever!

Hoping that 2014 will be a great year for everyone and we will have the best Giant seeds to share with one another!
Hoping to hear from 50 growers who want their seeds to be planted and that in doing so we can meet new people and become good friends. See you all in the fall of 2014 and we will accept your seeds at that time. Everyone interested post here your wanting to be involved in fall of this year and plan a crop that you can make a donation of 50 packages of seeds.

Thank all of you for your continued interest. I look forward to the fall of 2014 and the first seed exchange handled by myself. In order to have the seed exchange go forward with gusto I would ask that each of us make definite plans as to what crop we will grow which will lead to many people planting your seed in 2015. I always look forward to the opening of seed packages in the fall but especially to one with so many different types of seed. My kids love em, my wife loves em and my neighbors love trying new and unusual seed as well. Basti and BPMailey welcome aboard on the NEW seed exchange starting fall of 2014!

Some well meaning soul got into my email and messed me up. Yahoo told me to just go new. So I have. I henceforth have registered at Bigpumpkins with my new email address and will after this go by Gardendogs. So Pumpkin Farm is no more Gardendogs is a better description for my gardening would be nothing without the love of my life, my fellow Gardendog who is my wife.

hello shannon i got some questions i got one pack that had about 6 kinds of seeds 2-3 are a givin but theres a few i am not sure of like one that looks like a marrow seed but black alone with a few millet sized seeds ,, i looked up the breeder on the paper but the grower only has 3 listed ,, could you clear up what these black seeds are and the others in the packet thanks
