My name is Christopher and I live in Aurora, IL. I have recently gotten into growing giant pumpkins. Currently, I am growing a Dill's Altantic Giant that I started indoors on the 27th of April and transplanted on the 28th of May. Today, the pumpkin weighs about 175lbs as of yesterday at 12:07pm. Also, I am wondering how to get a hold of a 2009 Wallace and I would be fine with just having one of those seeds.

If you cant get a 2009, maybe you can get a 2009 x self or x sib. from someone, but you'll have to wait till late Oct. - Nov. for seeds.

Best look for crosses that were made out of the 2009. I heard that Ron and Pap's gave out quite a few of the 2009s to growers and clubs world wide... The most sought after seed ever.... and they were quite generous as always...

cweibz, may I have some seeds also? My boyfriend is obsessed with giant pumpkin growing and he often mentions getting great seeds, but has yet to do so. His birthday is coming up, so I was hoping to give these to him as a gift. If you could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. My email is griffethlisa@gmail.com Thanks!

I organize the seed auction for our club and already know the 2009 will not be available from the Wallace's. They are essentially out of the them. Wait until all the weigh offs happen. People will offer free seeds on here all winter long.

unfortunately the supply of 2009 seeds is really low.
last year ron gave out seeds to just about every grower who asked plus was sure to give seeds to all the auctions that asked.---------------- pap
