There were less than 30 seeds in the 1810 pumpkin.Likely less than 5 or 6 left. Many more 1807 and 1789's out there-good luck

I believe there are 2 1810's left unplanted.
At least I'm pretty sure there aren't any in circulation that haven't been planted. In other words I have 2.

If you are a new grower save your money for fertilizers and pesticides...Stick that money into patch prep...Get growing them down, then buy expensive seeds

cweibz,if you dont get the name brand seeds your after, try for seeds grown from the 1810,1789,1807etc.They are usually available just for asking and can be as good or better than their parents.Wait for late november or december when they have been dried.

Grab any good seed, I'm sure Chris S. has tons of great seeds from all the amazing pumpkins he has grown! Get a seed from a big pumpkin, get your soil right, listen to your mentor and you're going to have one fun year!!!
This was my first year out and can hardly breath I am soooo excited!!!
Oh yea,,,,,, get ready to spend a lot of time in the patch! :)

Just a hint: Chris S. grew his 1810 off a 1161 Rodonis seed, and the 1161 Rodonis (1231 Pukos x 1450 Wallace) proved to be an excellent cross in many other cases as well. Hence, you might also be looking for something like that. ...ok, and now the real hint: "musicpete" (you will find his BP diary) has done the same cross (1231 Pukos x 1450 Wallace) this year. Try to get in touch with him and ask if he would have some seeds available for you if there are lots of viable seeds in his 1231 Pukos pumpkin.

another great seed is the 1592 platte it went 9% heavy I grew it last year but lost my stump due to no stump cover(my fault). It was 1000 pds before labor day.Only gave it 1 hr of care per week.I would grow it again, but theres so many great choices it's hard to choose.
