I have grown my first pumpkins this year for a local competition I set up as around my pub and the village it is in near Oxford, England. I didn't really set out to grow a big pumpkin but ended up with one over a 100lb which as I was away most of August due to my mother passing away I left it to fend for itself. Since then I have read much about giant pumpkins and enjoyed a book called 'Backyard Giants' by Susan Warren on holiday following Ron & Dick Wallace and the Rhode Island growers and I am completely hooked!! I have two allotments and could give a good amount of space up for some specials!!. We are having our weigh in tomorrow and carving competitions etc but I would love to have some seeds of proven big pumpkins to be able to grow. I will send whatever required as in packaging and postage costs and don't even mind paying for some but not the hundreds of dollars some of the big seeds go for!!
Any help would be great.
