I write the local gardening column in our weekly newspaper in a farming community. I got some people interested and we had our first contest in 2010. A 145 pounder, just grown for fun, took 1st place and $1,500! Now I have at least 20 people looking for seeds so they can get started growing BIG pumpkins. Any seeds anyone will be greatly appreciated! They will all be planted! I will be happy to send bubble mailers to anyone who can help us out. Thanks! JeanHanshu@pldi.net

Thanks to everyone who has responded. Several wonderful growers have offered to send seeds, so let me see how we're doing before anyone sends any more! I am truly overwhelmed by your generosity. If we still need some more, I will post again!

To Erik: I'll keep your info if we need any more seeds.

To Orangeneck (and everyone else!) Bring your pumpkins to POP (Pumpkins On Parade)! We got several locals who are hoping to grow a big one from some of the seeds that have been (so generously!) donated but we welcome all growers with open arms. Prizes money will be the same as last year: $1,500 1st prize. October 8th at the Red Barn in Shattuck, OK.

Thanks for everyone whom has responded here. I hope a few of you do not mind, but I emailed you. I am a new grower also and are looking for some seeds. I have been very impressed with all the help I have gotten from people on this site, but have not started asking for seeds till now. Thank you for whatever you can do for me.
