Okay, I know that there is no way that I will ever score an 1161 so what about the next best thing? Anybody out there have any seeds from a 1161 X self that they would not mind sharing?

1610 Lieber is a 1161 X Self. It was a perfect shape and went 3% heavy.

Martin,
The 1610 Lieber is also the largest pumpkin to ever with the Howard Dill award, and the largest self pollinated 1161. It is so orange you would think it came from a 772 Porier, and its shape is perfect.
Now if there is a good 1385 Jutras x self to cross it with, like the 1725 Harp...

cojoe,
Is that a typo? I thought it was the 1605 sweet.
Still magnificent genetics all around.

Ken Sweet grew the 1725 and the 1605 this year. 1395 Wallace is a 1385 x 1385 sib cross, if that interests you.

970.5 Barenie was a 1231 Pukos x 1450 Wallace, so it is the same cross as the 1161.
No idea if anyone has planted seeds from her, but it could be a sleeper.
