I've planted enough buckwheat over the years that I have a small amount of a seed bank that continues to pop up. I tend to let it grow a while, since the vines hiding among it are suffering way less leaf burn than the leaves completely exposed. Last year, I specifically planted it out around the plants, and I'll likely do that again next year. I'll pull it eventually as it does interfere with airflow and bug sprays.
