Well, I had intended on planting the seedlings this weekend but the heat overpowered me and my husband and we ended up doing less work around the patch then I had anticipated. The ground is ready to go, but we have a lot of brush around the patch that's blocking some of the sun so we had intended to get it cleared out this weekend so that the seedlings can have all the direct sunlight possible. Unfortunately, it was a lot more than it seemed so we did about half of what I had hoped we would. We had actually intended to do it this past winter while it was cold and everything was dead, but again, chickens. So we're a little behind on some things. The expectation is that we'll finish up the work this afternoon and I'll be able to plant the seedlings by this evening. They're looking really good though, first true leaves are thriving all around and second leaves are beginning to pop up, roots out of the peat pots are still not bad so I'm hoping they'll be able to handle one more day! I can almost hear them when I walk by going, "Plant us!!" and I catch myself promising them that I'll get them in the ground today or tomorrow at the latest haha
