Indoor Giant Potato Challenge: I'm joining the Garden of giants Facebook group winter growing competition and am going to attempt to grow a giant potato. Here's what I got as far as seed potatoes. I talked to some potato experts and they recommended these varieties since I can't get Kondor (generally accepted to be the best giant variety). Sarpo Mira is a Hungarian variety that grows large tubers and is resistant to many diseases and Russet is just your classic "Big Potato". I'm going to leave these at room temp for a week or two and they should start sprouting. There's a surprising amount of interesting little tricks to growing these so follow along!
