The pumpkin patch is not my favourite place right now. I did a slip and fall on a wet walking board about 10 days ago and re-injured an old lower back and sciatica issue. Now, looks like the 2404 Barron has succumbed to a career ending stem split injury and the upper 839 Sandercock plant has aborted 4 out of 6 pumpkins and I'm down to the last chances. The glimmer of satisfaction in the patch this year is the very successful prizewinner, an abundance of dahlia flowers and a very bountiful vegetable garden.
