There are a lot of Catch 22's in pumpkin growing it seems. Too cold and plants don't grow. Too hot and pollination struggles. If I'd been able to pollinate 2 weeks earlier in the 150sf patch I think we would have had better chances for a giant. It got very hot right at pollination time. We're nearing the end of a window at this point. We have 1 female bloom left on the main that we pollinated today. Fingers crossed.
