This is the base of the 2465. You can see where I cut off the first secondary which was growing pretty much straight up in the air. You can also see where the weight of the vine started to crack the main as it started to lay down. I believe that if this secondary has allowed to grow a few more days it would have split the main as the weight of the secondary pulled it to the ground. I have witnessed this several times in the past & am glad that I took care it before it became a problem.
