Here is my pumpkin as it stands on Sunday morning 5/11/25 (planted on Friday morning). I have a wind break around it on 4 sides and will shade it in the afternoon for 3 or 4 hours until it hardens off for another day or two.
It's also well covered at night because we're still in the 40s overnight. This is in a very small section of a suburban backyard with a very active home owners association, so there are some restraints we must adhere to unfortunately. My goal for this year is to beat last years 200#'s with something 500#s plus.
I did not water at all yesterday since the EC ranged 0.37 - 0.58 measured 12 inches in all directions. I gave it 1 gallon of water distributed over an 18 inch diameter this morning with a teaspoon of humic/fulvic and 1/2 teaspoon of seaweed mixed in. On Tuesday the plan is to water with some small amount of Plant Marvel included.
The soil temperature yesterday was 63 - 65 Fahrenheit and air temperature topped 80 Fahrenheit at on point in that area of my yard, although today they're forecasting 69 for a high.
I'll be away from home next week so I'm trying to get things on the right track. I will keep my two back up plants until we return back home.
