The 5.16 Greene grown from the 10.46 La Rue. This is the "tomato worm" bloom from my earlier diary entries.
Made a 1.5 hour drive and spent the day in Irvine, CA at the Irvine Park Railroad’s Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off. What a great time and an exceptionally well coordinated operation. Met lots of great growers. It's a very pumpkin-centric event and I'm a bit of an enigma there with my heavy tomatoes, but I gave out seeds to try to stimulate competition next year.
