I’m hoping that my three remaining pumpkins will make it to the end & that these crazy-big pallets will actually be used. They are ready to go & so am I! Remember the song “Basket Case” by Green Day? I am becoming an end of the season, pumpkin-growing basket case. I think the song goes: “Do you have the time to listen to me whine? About everything & nothing all at once. I am one of those melodramatic fools, neurotic to the bone, no doubt about it. Sometimes I give myself the creeps. Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me. It all keeps adding up. I think I’m cracking up. Am I just paranoid?” I think it just might be part of growing these fickle, fragile things that we like to push too hard & keep too long! But hey, it is one heck of a ride!
