Absolutely crazy day at the UK weigh off in Southampton yesterday. The Meier came in bang on estimate at 1333.8lb, which is a new record for growing outdoors in the UK (no mean feat given our unpredictable weather) I am over the moon but would have been nice to have come up a bit heavy, Ian and Stuart got 17% out of their 2096!
Huge congratulations to them both on three PB's and a new UK record. The work they put in on the giant pumpkin scene here in Britain is amazing. Well done lads.
This was my first GPC weigh off and have to say am well impressed with the camaraderie between all the growers and the spirit of the day. Hats off to everyone involved.
