Soil test mystery: part solved. With extremely high calcium in soil test, but very low tissue - this was a surprise. Tissue lab suggest the soil tests acid extraction - if calcium carbonate present - could be over emphasise levels. Redigging a lump of soil and testing with house vinegar - it does seem I've small lumps in soil. Impact: believe Ca,Mg,K,P amounts & ratios will be inaccurate on soil test.Metals etc fine. New, different soil test needed which will be we're that's more suitable for my soil type. And the plant's can get a drench of more soluble calcium now I know soil doesn't have a type they can reach.
