The Berard is proving to be a much ganglier plant than the Ansems.The Berard is making big gains in distance but with huge distances between internodes.
Given I'm limited by space 25x30 ish per plant - I'm not sure it's a characteristic I'm sold on, given fewer secondaries per patch - but remain open at this point. As a result tho, I'm pollinating the Berard with the Ansems - but selfing the Ansems as I'm liking the smaller internodes and want to keep this characteristic.
Checking the Ansems family tree, doesn't seem to be much selfing - so selfing should be fine. Behind on Ansems vine burying - but caught up on one half this am.
