this is the butt on the 450 its real thick and the main runner is thicker than your arm again this year i used it as a back up plant so it was planted weeks later if i had more time it would be good to start it at the right time

this is the 1727 ansems i got it ready to pick and was pulling the vine away from it and noticed a hole down in where the flower end is its dry and healed up but it goes right into the pumpkin which is very dissapointing as this is the biggest one i know of in australia it tapes 419 inches and when i weighed it yesterday it weighed 684 kgs which is just over 1500 lbs now its off the vine it probably wont last to long any way this is donna standing behind it

this is the 1427 jarvis i usually seem to underestimate the taping the covers i have are to low but i tried to get it more accurate this time and its taping i think at least 390 inches it actually grew a bit more in the last day or so it might be because we had a bit of rain as i havent give them a drink for about a week

another shot of all three after taking the cover off the jarvis it ended up taping 403 inches and it weighed 601.5 kgs with the lifting straps so its weight would be right on 600 kgs as the straps weigh almost 1.5 kgs this one is my best hope for sydney royal easter show as at the moment it has no problems but the show is not till easter and a lot can go wrong between now and then because thats a long time to try to keep a pumpkin and hope it doesnt go off any way i am happy to grow one bigger than last year even though it ended up with a hole in it now the hard decision of what seed to order for next season we have a weigh off at kyogle on the 15th of february i think and it sounds like there will be a fair few big pumpkins there i am looking forward to it

this plant is a 1522 sproule its spindly and not a lot of vigour but it is a bit to close to an avocado tree and a bit out of the sprinkler range i had a 1381 kenneally at the other end of this bed i was going to keep but we have had some very windy days and it snapped the main runner off i have used this one to pollinate the 1248 and 1666 as i think it would produce a nice cross as i would like to grow one or two of my own seeds next year
