Pete, I want to congratulate you now, what you have done is very great. Going from 1,707 pounds to 2,424 is incredible. You trusted the 2552 genetic, and I think you have made a cross, which can be wonderful. We will see in 2023 that seed 2424, which is capable of achieving! You are big

I have germinated 20 seeds, 2x1885 1 x 2365, 3 x 2183, and many more. But the ones that are surprising me at birth, are the 805, fast, beautiful, perfect. I think some 805 will grow.

2 x 1885 and 1 x 2365, and the 2907 are ok, too. But there is a difference with the 805, which were the first to be born.

This year, the fans and nebulisation will be automatic. I want to adjust the humidity to 65% and have the fans work when the temperature is above 27 C. This year the irrigation solenoid valves, and Nebulisation are 220V with a smart plug with wifi, which will make everything easier for me, to operate it from the mobile phone. Let’s hope everything works well.

I have prepared white shade, on top of the greenhouse, it can be removed and put on in 5 minutes. After thinking about it a lot, I put it like this. I think it will come in great summer. The 50% white shading mesh gives about 25% shade, that’s how it is, because the light rays bounce off the white colour. The 50% black mesh gives 50% shading.

I don’t like the way plants grow with Shadow, I see them slower. I have removed the shade, I will put it in June, when the temperatures are more than 35 Celsius, Today 28 C, please, whatever country it is, stop pointing your climate modification antennas at Europe, this is terrible. Today I have been told that for the month of July, we will not have water for the pumpkins.

2 x 805, one 2365, one 1885, one 2183 and the 2447 cutrupi are the best plants in the soil of the greenhouse. I will have to choose 3 of these 6 plants in a couple of weeks. Pollinators, the best in pot 2405 and 1989 Conway. 2244 and 2447 too are good I was thinking of putting these two pots on the floor, they are beautiful, but I need good pollinators.

805 left, 2365 right. I'm really surprised by the speed of the 805, but the 2365 seems more robust. In 4/5 days I must decide. I have removed the leaf from the 2 plants, which came out under the main guide, a main guide will never bend again. those leaves of the plant, they force the guides to the side, it is always a problem. Planta with 23 days in the soil.

here is a big dilemma. 1885 only has one flower, with 23 secondaries behind, 2183 is the fastest plant, and has 4 females, at 16/18/19/20 secondaries. I have to remove a plant. I could not sleep last night.

We already have 2 pollinations. 2365 x 1989 and 1885 x 1989. Of our 5 pollinators, we have chosen 1989, the best plant in the pot. tomorrow two other Fenenine flowers open, we will see where we have more pollinators flowers, whether 2183 or 1989 or 2405. They are the 3 best pollinators

2365 x 1989 Tanner. I lost the whole plant, due to a catastrophic error. Cut the previous pumpkin, and disinfect the cut once with peroxide, but do not check it. I think some insect transmitted something in the wound, and the node before my good pumpkin bled. Cut the whole plant, but leave the pumpkin with 4 metres of plant after the pumpkin, to do a test, to know if the pumpkin grows with the plant that is after the pumpkin. At the moment these days it has grown 15 inches. I will leave this pumpkin, to get the seeds, both 2365 and 1989 were incredible plants, I think it can be a good seed, although in the end it is a small pumpkin.

My knee does not improve, every day more pain. today Salvador has been helping me to bury a little, when you are 2 people it is much easier. Salvador is cheap, a few beers and a good T-bone steak. ??????

184 Mendi 2023 dmg .. (2365 x 1989) more 800 good seeds Only 34 days. It had a node, behind the rotten pumpkin. cut a small pumpkin that does not pollinate. I gave it hydrogen peroxide and forgot about it... in 10 days the node was rotten. I think some insect contagious something. I will never do that again. When I cut a small pumpkin in the main guide, I'll give it sulfur or some fungicide and put a fan on for a couple of days.

LThe first seed of the year 2023. This pumpkin, averages 205 cm the day I cut the whole plant from behind. I wanted to make a text. Can you fatten a pumpkin with a small plant after the pumpkin?

Sunday, July 9 View Page
The result was amazing.. with a plant in front, without watering, without fertilising, without burying, without caring.. in 22 days it grew 150 pounds. All of you who doubt if the plant after the pumpkin, fatten the pumpkin, let you know that the answer is Yes!!! New plant, new leaves that will feed your pumpkin.

Sunday, July 9 View Page
The plant continued to grow, and so did the pumpkin. I wonder, what would have happened if I buried the nodes, watered it, put fertilisers on it, and put it on until September? I would probably have gotten more than 1000 pounds. I am sure.

Leonardo Ureña told me one day that pumpkins that give many seeds are the best to grow. I’ll have to give this genetics a chance. Maybe my friend Steve Geddes will dare to grow it too, who knows? Tanner will receive a few seeds of these, his plant was the best pollinator, Andy will also receive if he wants. And the rest I will send to EGVGA for the partners’ envelopes. The plant was fantastic.

A crazy season. An 1885 is driving me crazy, first he cut his tail. I dry it well with air, and with an endoscope that I bought at amazon for iphone, it looks good inside, it looks dry... I follow…

Today we had 42 degrees Celsius here. 107 F, inside the greenhouse, become 130F if you do not nebulise continuously, with short cycles. 3 seconds every 30 seconds, and I have maintained the temperature, with fans and nebulisation at 100F. The last foliar analysis gave me that the leaves had high nitrogen, and calcium was very low at the low level. The high temperatures, and the humidity of the nebulisation, I think it has completely blocked the calcium and the Boron, and nitrogen has done its job. The circumference is 177 inches, because I have seen a crack of almost 60 inches, incredible. I have cured the stem, now it’s time to cure this crack, it’s not easy, but it’s an important challenge. The other 1885 x 1989 a very beautiful pumpkin, only grows with 33 square metres of plant. I had to remove the entire plant before the pumpkin less 4 long secondary, due to a rot in a knot, I had split in the main guide and water entered. I didn’t want the rot to continue for the guide, so cut. I don’t know how it is possible for a pumpkin to grow 35-40 pounds a day, with a space of 33 square metres and high temperatures. 355 sq feet. dap 45 too. I’m growing back, let’s see if I can get any more metres. I also have a slit in this one, smaller, I should have hit it with the nail, and I didn’t see it. That point is a bit ugly, I’m trying to cure it, I hope it lasts until the weight off, I like this plant and those seeds.

I’m struggling with everything What can I do with this 1885 x 2907. I have cut the watering and nebulization, I water the minimum, I have put savannah with calcium, I am watering with calcium, making boron applications, watering with high ph so that the roots do not assimilate more nitrogen.. if I save it it will be a miracle. It also has a split in the stem that looks dry. The solar panels can’t with so much electricity, only during the day, but the battery runs out at night, I have 180€ spent on gasoline, to put generator at night. Tomorrow, I will no longer buy gasoline, I will fill the cracks with diatomaceous earth, or with sulphur, and I will pray that it will last 46 days for the weigh off. I have only used peroxide and fan, and the Cracks seem dry, but every morning I see a new one. This is incredible. I need the season to end as soon as possible, and prepare for the 2024 season, what the hell. :))

CSo 80 inches dap 8. It has approximately 50 secondary behind, about 60 feet behind it, and 1700 square feet of plant behind, although there will already be 600 very old. 1885 x 1885, I wanted seeds for give at tourist in the hotel, and left this pumpkin for seeds, but it is astonishing me how it grows, if on the 20th It has amazing numbers, I will continue with it and I will continue to grow plant in front, I still have 600 square feet to grow.

The cracks seem scarred, but I don’t trust it yet. I still have day fans, with solar panels, and at night these fans have a battery, and at least they last well all night. 1600 pounds growing 35 pounds a day. If manage to reach the weigh off, and it is more than 2000, I will be very happy. 1885 x 2907. I can’t know if it sounds good or not, I can’t hit this pumpkin lol :)

Dap 14, 1885 x 1885. 165 Inches. 2 plants and 3 pumpkins. I want to try to take 3 pumpkins to the weigh off, and get the new jacket in Kasterlee ?? that motivates me. It’s been a very complicated year, but I like the challenges. One plant with 2 pumpkins, and the other plant with one pumpkin growing without a plant behind. With a plant and a half, 3 pumpkins, it’s incredible :) lol

I lost the whole plant behind the pumpkin 20 days ago, the pumpkin was 1000 pounds. He has earned almost 600 Pounds in 20 days and I continue to grow tertiary, but without burying. I have a lot of work at the hotel this season and I don’t have time to bury.

Photo 1885 x 1989 Tanner, This pumpkin, if I hadn’t lost the back plant, I’m sure it would now have near 2000 pounds, dap 62. SHe is a mirror, she look very young, and he wants to continue growing, slowly, but he wants to grow more.

The 1885 x 2907, has all the cracks scarred, has been a miracle. Day 62 1735 pounds. I was 1 week without watering when the cracks came out, and putting foliar calcium, and sheet with calcium. I only watered one day with calcium on the floor in that week, and the pumpkin stop grow. When I was 10 days old, I grew up very fast, just like your little sister, and I also stopped watering, It was scary. Stewie told me not to stop watering, I managed to stop the growth, but it was a big mistake. I will never do that again, you have to be regular, always water the same thing, keep the tensiometers always the same, every year you learn one thing. This plant grows very fast pumpkins, I’m thinking about saving some clone for the Next year, but I don’t know how to do that lol :) I’ll have to read on the internet.

8 days before the Weigh off I cleaned the whole greenhouse. This afternoon we are picking up the 2 pumpkins. I’m sure they’ll lose kilos, for the weigh offs, on September 9 and 17, but I want to be calm next week to organise everything, and I want to start cleaning the greenhouse and prepare it for 2024.

The analysis of pathogens in my soil has not detected any pathogens. The soil is perfect, but even so, this year I lost the 3 plants due to a rot in a knot near the pumpkin, and I had to cut the 3 plants behind the pumpkin. What was the problem? I had my doubts, but Stewie assured me. It was the mulch fly, or substrate fly. I had quite a few this year, and when I reacted it was late. These flies lay their eggs in very wet soil, I bury the knots with wet substrate, and the flies lay the eggs there. The larvae bite the roots, and when biting them, they transmit diseases. They bit the top root of the nodes. In 2024, with beneficial nematodes, and irrigation with biological insecticide based on beuveria bassiana, and bacillus turgensis I hope I don’t have any fucking fly from the substrate. :)) I also think it is a very good idea to protect the roots when burying the nodes, use in addition to mycos and azos, the bassiana beuveria, it may be a good idea, but I must make sure that it is not incompatible with the mycos.
