Wednesday, January 8 View Page Looking at my diary from last year, I realized I never showed the final picture of the pumpkins that were in the greenhouse. They didn�t get as big as I wanted them to due to my overwatering and plant age, but they sure came out beautiful. Here�s a photo of both pumpkins, they were crossed with each other so they should make some beautiful pumpkins plus the one being 21% heavy is kinda an added bonus. Not much to look at yet, but should have a main vine by next week. It�s growing really well in its little mini climate inside the greenhouse. Air temperature fluctuates between 72-84F. Soil is 83F. It�s definitely growing better out there in the natural sun than it would in a pot under a grow light. Plus, I think there will be a huge benefit for the roots to not be restricted and able to run fast and free. � Tuesday, April 1 View Page 222 McMillin watermelons have been potted up 5 gallon pots. � Tuesday, April 1 View Page 4/1/25 8am 2025 season begins! 2177 Ford 2731 Stelts Both have been sanded and are soaking for 6 hours at 88 degrees in Wow 5/2. The seed starting mix has been made up and put in 1 gallons pots on the heat mat at 90 degrees. This one was started April 4th, so it�s 5 days old today. � Wednesday, April 16 View Page Daughter�s 1783 New outgrew the 6� hut several days ago. Had to quickly make a 14� long hut not even to day 30 yet! Got a really good feeling about this 1783 New seed, Chad your the man, thank you so much for these amazing seeds!!!!! � Thursday, May 1 View Page Kali�s greenhouse plant was pulled today, so she took over one of the outside plants that are about 15 days old. The first 5 side vines never grew, then past that they started to grow so she left the plant grow to 15� long and then the main vine tip turned black and stopped growing. Sometimes you just get a plant that doesn�t grow well, We should have pulled it weeks ago. I did start 6 seeds on April 29th kinda late�. But should still be enough time to get big by October. 2- 2183 Mendi 2- 2460 Olsen 2- 1951 McMillin Fastest two plants will be given 900sqft each, other 4 plants will get the knife. � Thursday, May 1 View Page 2177 Ford doing great � Thursday, May 1 View Page 2731 Stelts it�s still early, but this plant is leaps and bounds ahead of all my others at this stage. Vines and stalks are super thick, leaves are huge and it�s 5� long only 27 days from sanding the seed. Hopefully it continues like this! � Thursday, May 1 View Page Spent last two days making these light weight automatic opening hoop huts for the outside plants because they outgrew there 5�x5� huts. I was really proud of them till the wind picked up�., o well they should be salvageable, I will find out in the morning. Plants took some abuse as well, but I believe they are fine. � Friday, May 2 View Page Spent another day staking and reinforcing the wind damaged huts. Getting really tired of these huts. Fastest healthiest plant gets 2000 ft.�, other 2 will get the knife. 2460 Olsen 2183 Mendi 1951 McMillin � Monday, May 12 View Page Decided to try the 150sqft challenge with my youngest daughter for fun, not taking it very seriously, just couldn�t throw out this beautiful plant. 2460 Olsen, again thanks Peter for the seeds! � Monday, May 12 View Page 2177 Ford. Both outside plants have outgrown their huts and are now exposed to the real world. I did add 50% shade cloth over the 2 outside plants, fingers crossed that high winds don�t rip it down and destroy the plants. � Monday, May 12 View Page 2731 Stelts. This is the fastest growing plant i�ve had. Really happy with this one. Both the 2177 and 2731 have some main vine issues near the stump that appear to be healed but only time will tell. �
