A bit more patch prep: there are a few hundred broad beans in there acting as cover crop, and I mulched around the kale with a bit of old hay.

I thought I would share a photo of my germination test plants that I grew on under lights. Pretty healthy looking, all things considered. The project has a dual purpose as I am cultivating mycorrhizal fungi and Trichoderma at the same time and plan to re-use this inoculated soil for my real plants come April.
