Good morning pumpkin growers I'm new here and this is my second year growing pumpkins. I live about 15 miles from New York City in New Jersey. I got a seed from Travis the Godzilla first one failed and he was nice to send me another and oh boy what a seed. Plant was very sluggish but it picked up steam with continuous efforts between weather hail winds and downpours plant looked like it was in a war zone. She battled it all and its still holding up. Burying and then unburying vines trying to minimize rot in this humidity was a torture in the heat. She's looking good I lost my main so i split the two secondaries and treating them as the mains trying to grow two pumpkins off one plant. She's almost filled in 650/700 SF. I need to come up with names.

Correction was made DAP 22 days on the pumpkin on the right and DAP 15 on the smaller one on the left. Losing some leaves in the middle due to hail, wind, rain and now powdery mil dew. Losing other stems due to rot where they meet the soil. I've been cutting them off and having the fans do the work.

The 650 SF plant the (Godzilla) from... (Travis) is doing some work. DAP 30 on the Gal to the right square box I should call it and DAP 23 on the Gal to the right she's looking like a Travis pumpkin lol. One plant pushing these two pumpkins at 650sf let's see where we end up come first week of October:)

The Godzilla from (Travis) is pulling its weigh. Everything is terminated at 650sf. The two pumpkins separated at birth gave them two secondary main vines. Pumpkin one the right is DAP 30 and the one one the right is DAP 23. One looks ugly like a box and the other looks like it can out grow the other in due time. High humidity and heavy rain measured in inches had been crazy fans going at all angles here in NJ...15 miles from NYC. Let's see what happens got another 2 months of growing left.

Godzilla plant took a beating the whole year and the tropical storm didn't help but we got two fatties growing slowly on the one Godzilla plant from Travis:) plant is not trying to die yet. 6 foot fencing doesn't mean nothing. Winds plow the plants down protected by apartments and giant trees i idk how you boys keep your 4 foot stalks with big umbrella leaves hanging from the winds in open fields. My stump and two secondary mains are In mint condition but I'm losing all my stalks n leaves. Let's keep watering and I'll let the roots do the rest of the work.
